Learning Goals:
You should be able to
- Identify and explain the parts of a wave.
- Know what the frequency and period of a wave is, and how to calculate them.
- Be able to calculate the speed of a wave.
- Understand and describe constructive and destructive interference.
- Understand and describe the parts of a standing wave.
- Understand and demonstrate the differences between a convex mirror and a concave mirror.
- Understand and demonstrate the differences between a converging lens and a diverging lens..
Today:
- Curved mirrors - How does the orientation and relative size of an image change as the object is moved from a position close to a concave mirror to a position very far away? Record your observations in your notes. Then do the same for a convex mirror.
- Practice/collab/check time - work on pp. 11-12. Move on to any other missing work when finished with that.
Assignment:
- Work on incomplete and missing work.
- Begin preparing for the final. How? Completing you practice work and using old assignments and quizzes to quiz yourself!
