- How fast is it moving when it makes impact in front of a surprised pedestrian?
Learning Goal: How to measure and describe motion using graphs.
Today: Graph Match Activity
- Given: motion detector, TI-84 calculator, EasyData app
- In the app, choose Set-Up>Distance Match or Velocity Match
- Pay attention to the distances and times shown on the graph. Discuss with your partners what motion would match the graph. Be specific. Continue on the same graph until
- Continue until your group matches two graphs each: distance-time, velocity-time
- Sketch the graph and description of the matching motion in your notes.
Assignment:
- Due Tues 10/10: pp. 15-18 of Graphing practice packet.
- Finish any incomplete work from the Motion packet!
