- Get together with your lab group. Finish your board presentation.
Learning Goal: I can understand inertia and Newton's First Law of Motion.
Today: FINISH labs: Constant Force Changing Mass, Constant Mass Changing Force. Report on a board:
- Data table - organized, clear, understandable
- Graph - acceleration (y) vs. mass or force (x), using appropriate graphing techniques
- Conclusion: What does that tell your group about the relationship between mass/force and acceleration?
- Is the line straight or curved? Increasing or decreasing?
- What does the graph tell you about those quantities - how they are related, or affect each other?
- Combine the results of the two labs to come up with a general relationship between acceleration, mass and force.
Assignment:
- Due Friday 11/4: Watch APlusPhysics notes: Newton's 2nd Law for understanding. Take Cornell or other organized notes.
- Finish packet pp. 7-10.
- Have you finished the Bull's Eye Lab? If not, set up a time to do so ASAP!
- Syllabus and Safety Contract. Submit Google Form - students, parents.
