Remember that quiz I promised last week? Nope, I wasn't kidding.
Learning Goal: How to measure and describe motion using graphs.
Today:
- Quiz 2.3
- When you are finished, while you are waiting for others, do you have anything from the motion packet to check off? Do so.
- Have you started the new graphing packet? You can do that too, pp. 13-14.
- Do you like to gamble? B/c that's what you'll be doing if you have any NHIs in the Gradebook, but are doing anything other than physics.
- Question: How does the slope of the line on a position‐time graph compare to the speed of an object?
- Materials: motion detector, calculator; constant speed car
- Do for two different speeds of the car. Make sure that you are looking at the constant velocity portion of the graph.
Assignment:
- Due Tues 10/3: pp. 13-14 of Graphing practice packet.
- Finish any incomplete work from the packet!
