Learning Goal:
I understand how to use Newton’s laws of motion to predict the behavior of objects.
Today:
You will work with a partner to find and practice a demonstration of Newton’s 3rd Law for the class.
- Each demonstration should include a clear explanation of how Newton’s 3rd law applies. The cooler, more fun, the better!
- Examples: tug-of-war, scale between two weights on pulleys, Push-Me-Pull-Me carts, Balloon Rocket, etc. Refer to any textbooks I have in the class for ideas. You are welcome to do research online to find something cool.
- You are welcome to any equipment in the classroom, as long as you return it where it belongs before you leave. Email or DM me if you need help finding something.
- If you have any other questions, or equipment requests, email/Tweet/DM me today.
- Be prepared to share your demos with the class on Monday!
