- Free Write: Think about the things that are important to you, something that you really value. Maybe it's music, art, creativity, certain relationships, or a sense of humor. Pick one of these values and write a few sentences about why they are important to you. You have four minutes.
- As you read, record the three tips they give you as well as anything else that stands out, in your Physics notebook.
- Can you think of anything they missed, or any other ideas?
Learning Goal: Momentum & impulse
Today:
- Discuss the results of the lab, how they relate to Conservation of Momentum.
- Practice time: work on the momentum packet.
Assignment:
- Have you completed & turned in the Before and After Lab
- Any assignments listed as "Missing" or "NHI" in PowerSchool.
- Preparing for the summative:
- Your summative test next week will include questions over Newton's Laws, Impulse and momentum. You also need to be able to use basic knowledge of motion (speed, vel, accel). You may use one 3" x 5" notecard.
- Work on your notecard NOW, revise and edit frequently to make sure it will have the info you need.
- Finish any incomplete or missing assignments, especially using your notecard. That will give you feedback on anything you need to add or edit out.
- Go to physicsclassroom.com, especially the Practice-Review section. Lots of great resources and tutorials. Use your notecard while you do the review work. Use the feedback to edit and revise.
