- ...accurately describe the motion of an object moving at constant velocity and represent it both graphically and algebraically.
- ...accurately describe the motion of an object moving at constant acceleration and represent it both graphically and algebraically.
- ...accurately present and interpret information from motion graphs.
- ...accurately describe the characteristics of the motion of a projectile launched at an angle.
Today: Ramp & Roll (You should be able to complete this today.)
Given: Ball bearings & track, stopwatch (phone), metersticks, video analysis app, dry erase markers or tape for marking the track
Find (Part I): Devise a plan to determine whether the motion on the horizontal portion of the track is constant-velocity motion. Be able to show your evidence on a board. Include a graphical model, motion diagram and mathematical model.
Find (Part II): Devise a plan to determine whether the motion on the ramp portion of the track is constant acceleration. Be able to show your evidence on a board. Include a graphical model, motion diagram and mathematical model.
